Frequently Asked questions

We want you to enjoy your stay at Hamperley Campsite without imposing too many restrictions and hope the following answers are helpful: We regret that we cannot accept groups of young people without adult supervision.

Q. Is it possible to bring pets?

A. Well behaved pets are welcome.  Dogs (max 2) should be under control at all times as adjoining fields usually contain livestock.  There is a charge of £2 per day for each dog.

Q. Are open fires permitted?

A. To avoid damage to the ecosystem, open fires are NOT permitted on the campfield.  BBQs can be used as long as they are raised off the ground. Ideally, do not use "disposable" BBQs unless you are prepared to take them with you when you leave.  There is an improvised fire pit in the adjacent wood for campers' use, wood can be purchased nearby. Please do not collect wood from the surrounding area.

Q.  Are there recycling facilities?

A. Yes, appropriate containers are provided for campers to separate and  dispose of their rubbish but we regret we do not have facilities to deal with discarded camping equipment or other bulky items.  These should either be taken to the Waste Transfer Station in Craven Arms or to your own home.

Q. What are the arrival and departure times?

A.  In general you can arrive any time after 1400 hours and leave by 1030 hours the following day, but we can be flexible.

Q.  How do you pay?

A.  All fees will be collected between 1800 and 2000 hours on the day of arrival

Q. Visitors

A. Visitors are permitted with prior consent  for an additional charge of £4 per vehicle.
